Actor John Schneider, best known for his role of Bo Duke in the wildly popular 80’s television series The Dukes of Hazard, has announced he will be attending the 2010 Phoenix Comicon.

“John Schneider played a hero to millions of American youngsters,” said Convention Director Matt Solberg, “I know I would have given just about anything for a spin in the General Lee.”

The Dukes of Hazard was a family-oriented prime-time television series that chronicled the lives of cousins Bo and Luke Duke. The storyline of the show routinely centered on the good-natured Dukes foiling the corrupt ploys of the county commissioner, Boss Hog, while avoiding being thrown in jail for breaking the terms of their probation.

In addition to guest starring in dozens of popular movies and television shows and staring in over one hundred episodes of the hit television series Smallville as Superman’s adoptive father, Schneider’s resume includes singing, screenwriting and stunt driving history of guest directing. He has also guest directed both Smallville and The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

“Schneider is a bit of a twofold Comicon guest,” said Director of Programming Joe Boudrie, “some fans will appreciate him for his character on The Dukes of Hazard and others will for playing Superman’s father.”
