Q: How can I find out what conventions you will be attending?

A: A list of upcoming conventions we’ll be attending can be found on the Convention Appearances section of the blog.

Q: Wasn’t this blog originally at a different URL?

A: Yes, the blog was originally hosted at Today.com, when it was a blogging site. As of January 1, 2010 it has been hosted here at conventionfansblog.com. Additionally, Today.com has since been bought out by The Today Show and no longer exists.

Q: But wait, if The Convention Fans Blog is hosted here now, why do some articles take me toAlltern8.com?

A: Alltern8.com had agreed to host large articles and other original content in full for The Convention Fans Blog. The reason? Sometimes articles from this blog get picked up by rather large web sites, and they end up getting a great deal of traffic. Alltern8.com was more than capable of handling such a barrage. But as of July 2010 all content is back to being hosted exclusively at The Convention Fans Blog.

Q: Can you tell me what conventions are near my city?

A: We don’t maintain a comprehensive list of all conventions, because we know someone who already does! You’ll want to head on over to the Green Tentacles Convention Finder, where you can search for conventions based on zip code or genre.

Q: Do you know how much celebrities charge for their autographs?

A: If we have purchased a particular celebrity’s autograph in the past, we can probably give you an estimate. But in all honesty, Google is your friend in that department. We don’t maintain a list, and the price does tend to change based on the celebrity’s contract with the convention in question.
