The times that were, the times that are, and the times that may be… and how to kick butt in all of them!

Gaslight Gathering, San Diego’s new steampunk & Victoriana convention, is this weekend. The May 6-8 con boasts great guests, a Time Traveler’s Masked Ball, Mother’s Day Social, amazing vendors, street performers, and more.

Here are the conventions happening May of 2011. It’s a big month, what with Memorial Day Weekend and a ton of steampunk events.

I’ve just been notified that pre-registration for Gaslight Gathering, California’s newest steampunk convention, will close at 11:59 Saturday evening, April 30 (that’s tomorrow night). There are events that you must buy tickets for ahead of time.

Malice Domestic is a “fun fan” literary convention dedicated to the traditional mystery as exemplified by Agatha Christie. It’s also one of the few conventions that goes out of its way to get plenty of female author guests.
