Madicon is run by the Science Fiction Fantasy Guild at James Madison University. The con is held at the college in Harrisonburg, VA and this will be their 20^th anniversary. It will be March 11-13.

Can’t Stop The Serenity is a worldwide event that is held in order to raise money for the charity Equality Now and other local charities in the cities which have screenings. I recently got an e-mail from someone behind Can’t Stop The Serenity Des Moines, who asked me if I’d give a shout out to the event here on the blog. Given my love for Serenity/Firefly and good causes, I knew I had to write something about it.

The DeLorean Time Machine as seen in the film “Back to the Future” will be appearing at Vulcan Events in Tampa, Florida on April 30-May 2, 2010.  The vehicle will be there celebrating the 25th Anniversary of “Back to the Future” and raising funds and awareness for the Michael J.
