There’s been a storm of rage gusting through fandom recently, all directed at one Rob Granito. It began last week with a Bleeding Cool article and culminated in a verbal smackdown delivered at MegaCon by the irate Mark Waid and Ethan Van Sciver. Now several conventions, including Wizard World, have dropped Mr. Granito.

WonderCon 2011 is going to be a Green Lantern fest, no foolin’. The first day of the con, April 1st, will treat fans to a bunch of special Green Lantern exclusive events.

Gem City Comic Con is six years old and a true comic con which still focuses on the comics. They bring in national level comic creators and have plenty of local creators as well.

As Hound Comics gears up to embark on its 2011 promotional road trip; they decided to start things off with a little impromptu pre-tour signing in their own backyard. On February 19th CEO’s William ‘Brimstone’ Kucmierowski and Marcello Carnevali will be autographing the ‘Brimstone and The Borderhounds’ comic book in the same location that the comic was originally announced a few years earlier; the New York Comic Book Marketplace.

Over 8 years Emerald City has grown and grown, to the point that the convention has now expanded to cover three whole days.
