		<description><![CDATA[PHOENIX, AZ JUNE 2nd 2010: Phoenix Comicon staff are finally able to announce the final attendance numbers from this past Memorial Day Weekend. Where only 10,000 had been expected to attend, nearly 14,000 showed up. After all the paper purchases, online purchases, vendors and staff were counted, 13,988 people attended Phoenix Comicon. Last year&#8217;s attendance was around half that at.
&#8220;It was amazing to see all the families,&#8221; said Joe Boudrie, Phoenix Comicon Programming Director and father, &#8220;We really did it this time!&#8221;
