Game Core is a gaming convention in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania (USA). It is happening April 30th – May 2nd at the Valley Forge Convention Center, in King of Prussia. Although previously known as Too Many Games, the convention is now entering it’s second year under it’s new name and new organizer, Paul Truitt. PAX stands for Penny Arcade Expo, a convention born from the Penny Arcade web-comic. For the past few years, PAX was a once a year convention held in Seattle over the summer, but for the first time, there is to be an East coast version too. For 2010, that location is Boston.

I consider myself a pretty well rounded geek. I’m into Star Trek, but I also play PC games like World of Warcraft (WoW), and collectible card games (CCGs) like Magic the Gathering. I don’t LARP, but I know what it is. I have cosplayed. I’ve been doing online role-playing since the AOL 2.0 days. I’ve got another great convention to mention, this time in Ohio (USA). A&G Ohio (short for Animation & Gaming Ohio) is being held March 12 – 14, 2010, at the Holiday Inn Eastgate in Cincinnati.
Guests include: Troy Baker (voice actor; “Abel Nightroad” in Trinity Blood), D.C. Douglas (voice actor), Gavin Goszka (musician), Chris Patton (voice actor; “Sousuke” in Full Metal Panic), The Nerdfit Network, GPX Gaming, DM Ashura, Sleeping Samurai, Wraith Games, and more.
