A few weeks ago we posted the big news that Stan Lee had been added to the guest list for Dragon*con 2010. One of the biggest questions circulating the various Dragon*con forums and sites is whether Stan Lee would be do any autographs. Well, we officially know now that the answer is "yes." However, it seems that his signings will be handled a bit differently than most fans are used to.

Last time I wrote about Star Wars Celebration V, Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) was the only person on the guest list and not a whole lot more was known. Boy have things changed in the past few months. There is seemingly little doubt that Star Wars Celebration V is going to be a fandom convention of downright galactic proportions. And oh yeah, this guy named George Lucas will be there, and he's being interviewed by this other guy named John Stewart.

I’m one of those people who has been collecting autographs for years. I didn’t intend to. I know lots of people don’t. I even know some people who look down on people who do. I never intended to start, honest.

I was recently given an opportunity to own a set of books from Gene Roddenberry’s library, and that opportunity came from none other than Rod, his son. (For those who may not know, Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek.) A few weeks ago, I was sitting on Twitter just browsing, when a new tweet popped up from Rod (who I only recently started following). It said:
“Gene Roddenberry’s entire Time Life WWII Series. 23 books. Excellent condition. FREE – Up for grabs to War Buffs. Just need to pay shipping.”
I responded within ...
