Madicon is run by the Science Fiction Fantasy Guild at James Madison University. The con is held at the college in Harrisonburg, VA and this will be their 20th anniversary. It will be March 11-13.

Necronomicon, a Florida Convention, is Coming Soon!

Necromicon 2010 is coming! Run by the Stone Hill Science Fiction Association, Necronomicon has been going on annually for 28 years. It’s a sci-fi/fantasy/horror convention with everything you could possibly ask for: celebrity guests, game room, live action roleplay, masquerades, art show, authors, panels and a dealer’s room.

Come See Us at PhauxCon 2010 – A Philly Genre Entertainment Convention

PhauxCon is a great event held annually in downtown Philadelphia. Spend a few days sharing your fandom, laughing, learning, making new friends, and expanding your horizons, all for just $20. I attended in 2009, and it was easily one of my favorite conventions of the entire year.

Shore Leave 32: An Outsider’s Perspective / Convention Report

I have a confession: I have never been to a science fiction convention before. For most of my life, I was a general and distant admirer of the genre. I appreciated all the different shows, books, comics, and movies, but I never really understood all the hoopla. But then I met my boyfriend, Joey. To say he likes Star Wars is a gross understatement. So when Kelly asked me if Joey and I would be interested in going to Shore Leave, we jumped at the chance.
