After pleasing fans for years Leonard Nimoy is finally retiring from the fan convention circuit. Two upcoming Official Star Trek Convention events will mark his last scheduled celebrity convention appearances.

Trek Expo has announced their Guest lineup for the 2011 event in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The list is headed by George Takei and includes a range of actors from various iconic science fiction TV shows and movies.

Good news for fans of both Star Trek and pizza! StarTrek.com is pairing with ThinkGeek to give away pizza cutters shaped like the famous Starship Enterprise.

Shore Leave is a fan-run science fiction convention that will be hosting their 33rd convention this July 8-10, 2011 in Maryland. We’re pretty big fans of Shore Leave (just read our 2009 and 2010 convention reports), and this year looks to be as awesome as ever!

This past Sunday I headed out to TooManyGames in Oaks, Pennsylvania. TooManyGames is a gaming convention that caters to several types of games, including classic and modern video games, collectible card games, and even gaming music. It was held May 6 – 8, 2011 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.
