Brent Spiner is a Funny Dude

13 March 2010 2 Comments by

I had the opportunity to meet Brent Spiner at Dragon*con a few years ago. I also follow him on Twitter. Spiner is a funny dude. I’ve said in the past that he’s a big weirdo, but in the most endearing and funny way possible. So when I found out he was going to be at MegaCon in Orlando this weekend, I told a friend of mine that was going that he had to make a point to see Spiner. (I no longer live in O-Town and couldn’t go myself.)

Well, my friend just returned home, and relayed the following conversation he and Spiner had (paraphrased of course):

Friend: I have a friend who does a convention blog and said you’re a highlight and I had to meet you.

Brent Spiner: Does she like Shatner?

Friend: No, not really.

Brent Spiner: I don’t really blame her.

That just made my night!

P.S. Brent is currently scheduled to attend Dragon*con 2010! Definitely go see him and his panel, you won’t regret it, I promise.

P.P.S. My friend is right, I don’t like Shatner.

About Kelly Rowles

The founder and creator of The Convention Fans Blog is Kelly Rowles. She created the blog back in the fall of 2008, and has been working on it ever since. She started attending fandom conventions back in Orlando, Florida when she was just a teenager. Now based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she’s exploring all the tri-state area has to offer. While she’ll attend just about any convention out of sheer curiosity, at heart she’s mostly a Star Trek fan looking to meet every major cast member from each series. She’s getting closer to that goal than she ever thought possible.

LOL. You mean the story about him and Jonathan Frakes carrying on in the Walk of Fame at D*C?
