Not a week goes by where we don’t get reports of convention drama. Most of the time I really prefer to keep The Convention Fans Blog out of it. After all, we’re a blog for fans of conventions, not a blog for con organizers specifically. However, now and then the drama erupts into full blown news, news that I think will be of interest to even the more casual convention goers.

You may be able to snatch up some discounted costumes and props. There’s some stigma that costumes should be hand made but getting a pre-made “off-the-rack” costume is a totally valid option. Here are some good ones.

Direct from New Zealand comes two of that country’s biggest stars.

Necronomicon 2010 was excellent. Well…what I saw of it anyway. Sadly I was only able to make it on Sunday, which is usually not the best day to get the full convention experience. I can still say with sincerity that it was worth the two hour drive.

Allan Hyde who plays Godric, Eric’s maker and now spiritual conscience, has been added to the November roster of Celebrity Guests. This will be Allan’s second EyeCon convention appearance.
