This week, October 22-24, is the fifth annual CharCon in Charleston, West Virginia. The event takes place once again at the Charleston Civic Center. The theme for this year is ‘Space.’ This convention continues to grow another year with more room; RPGs are getting their own private rooms to be run in, and there are new games and events.

In case you weren’t aware, the New York Comic Con was this past weekend, Friday, October 8th to Sunday, October 10th. It was an awesome time, even if the event was really disorganized. It was a weekend packed with panels, signings, special guests, and lots of costumes. Despite the event being rather (or super) disorganized, the weekend was a good time anyway, especially if you enjoy pop culture. Luckily, Joey and I do!

Hollywood Xpo, a brand new pop culture convention based in California, is getting a lot of attention these days, especially for its ever growing guest list. Thus far it includes over 100 stars, including the iconic comics creator Stan Lee and legendary science fiction and fantasy author Ray Bradbury.

One of our favorite conventions in 2010 was The Steampunk World’s Fair, and we can’t wait to go again.
