Nikola Tesla Energy Independence Celebrations and Conference Happening this Weekend
I tend to shy away from posting non-fandom conventions and conferences here on The Convention Fans Blog, but I decided to make an exception for the Nikola Tesla Energy Independence Celebration and Conference. Why? Well, a lot of science fiction conventions actually have some great hard science programming, which I see gaining popularity every year. That, and this celebration includes Tesla coil demonstrations, contests, music and vendors, some of which may be of interest to the convention going crowd. And did I mention a lot of it was free? Yeah, there’s that.
Dubbed unofficially as “Tesla Fest,” this weekend of sciencey fun includes several activities spread over a few different locations. It is being held in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The specifics are posted below:
