Ba-Con This Weekend
Do you like bacon? Are you a fan of geek culture? Are you vaguely near Columbus, Ohio and have no plans for July 8, 9 and 10th?
If you answered “yes, yes, YES” than high thee to Ba-Con this weekend, the world’s only weekend-long event dedicated to equal adoration of this pork delight and all things geeky and wonderful.
In fact, I think it’s safe to say that it’s the only convention that lists bacon anywhere on it’s list of featured foci.
Featured guests for Ba-Con 2011 are Chad Vader creators Matt Sloan and Aaron Yonda. Other Guests include J.C. Brazil-Williams (author of A Geek’s Guide to Bacon Cookery – of COURSE there’s such a book, how could you ever doubt it), James Hatton (webcomic In His Likeness), Dr. Robert E. Pyatt, Ph.D. (geneticist and resident ‘Weird Scientist’), Tom Smith (‘World’s Fastest Filker’), and many others.
Ba-Con 2011 is July 8-10 at the Ramada Plaza Hotel & Conference Center in Columbus, Ohio. Registration is closed but tickets WILL be sold on-site. At the door badge prices are $10-$35.
