Animinicon SoHo Announces Guests, Screenings, Dealers and More.
2011 is the second year of Animinicon SoHo, an anime convention that debuted last year. The event will be held August 12-14 in New York (the state AND the city) at the SoHo Gallery for Digital Art.
They’ve just released a snapshot of their coming convention and here it is:
Anime Screenings
Screenings of anime will be furnished by Elven Arts, Inc. Film list includes includes Chocolate Underground and Ice.
Guests
So far the 2011 Animinicon SoHo guests are:
- Lizbeth R. Jimenez, creator of Sacred: The Manga. She is scheduled to do a live manga illustration technique demo.
- Brian Mah, animator and designer. He’ll do a workshop on animation cell inking and portfolio reviews.
- Stephen Tang, costume photographer.
Dealers’ Room
Space in the Dealer’s Room for Animinicon SoHo 2011 is sold out. Some of the participating dealers are:

Other Convention Features
There will be a Musical Concert Saturday night featuring Alexandra Honigsberg. On Sunday they’ll have a Gothic, Lolita, Steampunk, Victorian and Cosplay Tea – say that five times fast.
Meanwhile, The SoHo Host Club, a group of young gentlemen fans, will ensure that every Animinicon guest enjoys themselves to the fullest.
