Race Wars: Big Nerdcore Rap Tour

Do you remember mc chris from various Adult Swim cartoons and his song “”Fett’s Vette”? Well he’s going on 40+ US tour this fall. He hand-picked three other top nerdcore rappers to join him on this tour.

mc chris (Chris Ward) came to national fame by appearing and working on Adult Swim shows Sealab 2021 (Hesh), Aqua Teen Hunger Force (MC Pee Pants/Sir Loin), Brak Show (writer), Space Ghost (writer), and more. His song “Hoodie Ninja” is in the new Honda commercial. He is currently working on creating his own cartoon which raised the needed funds through kickstarter. While one of the most familiar faces in nerdcore hip hop, he has had a bit of love/hate relationship with the genre. His latest album Race Wars comes out on September 2nd.

MC Lars (Andrew Nielsen) the self-proclaimed originator of “post-punk laptop rap” after declaring “nerdcore was dead.” His music covers all kinds of different geeky topis: Shakespeare, Edgar Poe, iGeneration, Hot Topic, giant robots, video games. He has recorded for companies in the USA, UK, Japan, and Australia. He has had his music appear on the Australia Singles Chart, on the Dr. Demento’s show and is a member of the Funny Music Project (FuMP). His latest albums Lar’s Attack will be available on September 6th.

Random aka Mega Ran (Raheem Jarbo) is best known for his first Mega Ran album where he rapped over samples from the first eight Mega Man games. This lead to him getting a deal with Capcom. He has also produced a second Mega Ran album (Mega Ran 9), NES video games (Forever Famicom), and Final Fantasy VII (Black Materia). His music has appeared on TNA wrestling, ABC’s 20/20 and Portlandia, and Second Skin. His He left his teacher job this year to focus on his music career. His latest album Mega Ran 10 will be coming out on November 11th.

Adam Warrock this former lawyer is the foremost comic book rapper. His music includes the concept album War for Infinity inspired by Marvel’s Infinity Gauntlet saga, the West Coast Avengers Mixtape, Oni Press mixtape, and the latest album This Man… This Emcee. His single “Ira Glass” has been played on PRI and NPR along with podcasts and radio stations nationwide. One of his most popular songs is “Never Watch Doctor Who” about the fact he has not watched any Doctor Who. This latest project is Browncoats Mixtape about Firefly/Serenity out on September 27th.
