West Virginia is not really a place you think of when making convention and nerd event plans, but there are a few events that take place in this state every year that might interest you. In fact a lot of them happen over the next two months. Here are list a geeky events I have been able to come across in the Mountain States.

The 6th annual Matsuricon was held this past weekend brought in over 2,400 people to the Hyatt Regency at the Columbus Convention Center in Ohio.

Over 450 people came out for the River City Comic Con in Ohio.

Matsuriconn has scheduled over 20 Guests for their sixth year; voice actors, musicians, artists, industry people, and more.

This Sunday the 24^th of July will be the first River City Comic Con in Marietta, Ohio.  The first such con in the region in over ten years
