Seattle Nerd Band to attend in May
Phoenix, Ariz. March 20, 2010—Kirby Krackle, a rock band with pop-culture and geek flavor is set to appear and perform at Phoenix Comicon. Their song titles include “Naked Wii,” “The Villain Song,” and “Zombie Apocalypse.”
“I love music and I love being a geek, and when I can combine the two I’m never happier,” said Joe Boudrie, programming director. “Plus, Kirby Krackle is hilarious. They’re going to rock Phoenix Comicon.”

March 21, 2010 – Cedar Rapids, IA – QC Anime-zing!, in partnership with MaiOtaku.com, is elated to announce a winter anime convention for 2011, Anime-SPARK! The convention will be held at the Clarion Hotel & Convention Center in Cedar Rapids, IA from February 10-14, 2011 – valentine’s weekend.
Anime-SPARK! 2011 will have programming starting late Thursday evening going on into the early hours of Monday morning. The convention, being on Valentine’s Weekend, will feature a formal ball Sunday evening, along with events such as MaiOtaku.com‘s signature Otaku Speed Dating event.

James A. Owen to Attend the Phoenix Comicon
Phoenix, AZ March 14, 2010: Acclaimed children’s author James A. Owen will be attending the Phoenix Comicon. Writer and illustrator, Owen has to his credit the popular Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica book series, the Starchild graphic novels, and the award winning Mythworld series.
