Press Release: Horror Realm Convention Reanimated in 2010
Pittsburgh horror convention returns for a second year
Pittsburgh, PA – January 11, 2010 – Horror Realm™, Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention, enters its second year in 2010 (September 17-19) after a successful debut in 2009. The convention is produced by a team of horror fans who aim to provide an affordable, lively and memorable experience for other horror fans from both in and outside of the Pittsburgh area. With the title of Zombie Capital of the World, Pittsburgh is a natural site for a horror con and the Horror Realm™ team is working to establish its brand as an annual event.
Horror Realm™ will again be held at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South hotel. The convention features a dealer room, celebrity panel discussions, horror author readings and discussion panels, contests (tattoo, trivia and art contests were extremely popular in 2009), parties (a zombie costume ball is planned in 2010) and activities to keep fans engaged throughout the entire weekend. The convention also supports various charities by raising funds through silent auctions and raffles as well as awareness of the causes. The 2010 charities supported are United Cerebral Palsy and The Epilepsy Foundation.
