Shuto Con is Lansing’s Premiere Anime Convention, coming March 25th-26th, 2011. This convention will be a two day event held in Lansing, MI that focuses on Artists and the art of Interactive Cosplaying!
Starting on Friday morning our convention will run from 9AM until 12AM Saturday night (Sunday morning) non-stop. On Saturday night we will conclude the festivities with a techno blasting, glowstick waving dance! Last week I posted a story about the apparent controversy brewing between Vulkon Entertainment and the newly formed Vulcan Events in Orlando, Florida.
I recently paid a visit to the Vulkon official Facebook group, where the owners were having a discussion with staffers and attendees about the whole situation. At the time of writing my original article, the owners of Vulkon hadn’t said much, beyond their original newsletter statement. But they’ve since made a follow up post on Facebook, namely to address concerns that past attendees were still awaiting refunds:

James Marsters joins celebrity guest headliners for Philadelphia Comic Con, June 11-13, 2010 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
Marsters first came to the attention of the general public playing the popular character Spike, a platinum-blond English vampire in the television series Buffy: The Vampire Slayer and its spin-off series, Angel.
Since then, he has gone on to play other science fiction roles, such as the alien super-villain brainiac on Smallville and the omnisexual time traveler Captain John Hart in British science-fiction show Torchwood.

Not everyone is a seasoned fandom convention veteran. Every weekend thousands of convention virgins stream into hotels and convention centers for the very first time, not quite sure what to expect.
