Sir Patrick Stewart Cancels Appearance at Chicago Comic Con 2010

5 August 2010 No Comment by

For weeks now, Wizard Entertainment has been promoting the heck out of their Chicago Comic Con (a.k.a. Wizard World Chicago) convention, and the fact that Star Trek’s William Shatner and Sir Patrick Stewart would be there. However, Wizard has just informed fans that Stewart has canceled his appearance at the convention. The reason was cited as “production scheduling conflicts.”

Creation Entertainment, which has partnered with Chicago Comic Con for the event, has posted the following message for those who had already purchased photo ops with Stewart:

Those that ordered [Stewart's] separate photo op or the duo photo op with William Shatner are having their money refunded via their credit cards. Please allow some time for this credit to appear on your cards. Four additional Star Trek guests Avery Brooks, Brent Spiner, Walter Koenig, and John de Lancie have been announced.

She’s getting closer to that goal than she ever thought possible.
