QuakeCon

  • Where: Plano, Texas
  • What: Computer gaming convention.

World Boardgaming Championships

  • When: August 1-7, 2011
  • Where: Lancaster, Pennsylvania
  • What: Board gaming convention where people from around the world compete to be named champion of their favorite games.

August 19-21

Game Fest South

  • When: August 18-20, 2011
  • Where: Chattanooga, Tennesee
  • What: Board game convention.

Open Gaming Convention (OGC)

  • When: August 19-21, 2011
  • Where: Nashua, New Hampshire
  • What: Open Gaming Convention. 2011 theme is “Year of the Ninja”.

    Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. PAX was not listed because it has long since been sold out, and there’s no reason to mention an upcoming con that can’t be attended by people who didn’t already know about it. That’d be kind of a dick move, and PAX favorite Wil Wheaton probably wouldn’t approve of that.
