Have a Very Scary Labor Day
Want to start the Halloween festivities early this Labor Day? Than get thee to the Horrorfind Weekend.
The horror convention is scheduled for September 2-4 of 2011 and will be held at the Wyndam Gettysburg in Gettyburg, Pennsylvania. The event’s hotel is currently sold out on rooms.
Horrorfind bills itself with the tagline, “Horror, Halloween and supernatural – The Spookiest Show on Earth.” The convention has many fun and unusual events in that vein, enough to tempt the horror fan of every stripe.

This Filthy Horror – An Evening with John Waters
John Waters will be a guest at Horrorfind 2011. The event is selling a special Filthy Pass that gets attendees into the Friday, September 2 “This Filthy Horror – An Evening with John Waters” show. The Friday of the con will be the only appearance that weekend by movie legend Waters. The Filthy Pass gets you into the convention, into the theater for the John Waters event, and a signed copy of Waters’ book. Afterwards there will be a signing and photo op event that is open to ALL attendees.
Scaryoke & Zombie Prom
Karaoke to scary songs plus a dance with a Zombie Prom theme. Come in costume matching the theme. Takes place next door to the convention’s hotel at Girabaldi’s from 9:00pm to 1:00am. A Zombie Prom Queen and King will be crowned end of the evening.
Hearse & Car Show
Horrorfind will be holding a creepy car show featuring spooking rides and hearses. Registration for vehicles is currently open.
Other events include a film festival and a giant costume contest.
