WonderCon 2012 Requires Membership ID

23 January 2012 No Comment by

WonderCon pre-registration is open for the 2012 event, which is being held in Anaheim instead of San Francisco this year. There’s about a $10 difference in price if you register online versus onsite badge fees. For instance, a 3-day WonderCon pass purchased during the Advance Registration period is $40. Compare to the $50 price tag for a 3-day purchased onsite.

3 out of 1 math incompetents agree, online advance registration is cheaper than buying a WonderCon badge at the show. Catch is, though, that you need a Membership ID in order to do that.

You may have heard about Comic-Con now requiring people to register a Membership ID (a sort of User Name) in order to buy SDCC badges. Well, WonderCon is produced by the same parent company. So you’ll have to register for a Membership ID in order to be able to buy that WonderCon pass. Good news, though, is that one Comic-Con Membership ID works for all the company’s events; SDCC, WonderCon, and APE. So if, like me, you already have your Membership ID setup than you can just proceed to the Advance Registration phase.

WonderCon 2012 is scheduled for March 16-18 and will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
