Wizard Entertainment has announced that actor Sean Patrick Flanery, most well known for his appearance in Boondock Saints, will be a guest at Wizard World Philly in 2011. Wizard World Philly 2011 is being held June 17 – 19 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia.

Despite having attended fandom conventions for over a decade now, I’ve never actually been to an “official” after party. Sure, I’ve been to the unofficial ones, but never something like what I experienced this weekend. On Friday and Saturday nights, I headed over to The Trocadero, which is a really fun theater venue just a two minute walk from the Pennsylvania Convention Center.

Even though I moved to Philadelphia from Orlando just over two years ago, I had never gotten around to attending the Philadelphia Comic Con (typically referred to as “Wizard World Philly”). Some are large corporate-run “official” conventions that may be hard to get into on short notice, and some are tiny fan-run conventions that would probably love to have a few more people show up.
