Limited Early Bird Dragon*con Autograph Tickets for Stan Lee Announced

A few weeks ago we posted the big news that Stan Lee had been added to the guest list for Dragon*con 2010. One of the biggest questions circulating the various Dragon*con forums and sites is whether Stan Lee would be do any autographs. Well, we officially know now that the answer is “yes.” However, it seems that his signings will be handled a bit differently than most fans are used to.

In 1966, Shatner was a cast in the original STAR TREK as Captain James T. Kirk, a role that would make him a cultural icon. Though the series initially had difficulties finding a wider audience, Shatner’s unforgettable persona across three seasons helped spark a revival of Star Trek as a popular movie series. Shatner reprised the role of Kirk in seven Star Trek films, ending his run in Star Trek Generations with the death of his beloved character.

It’s a Star Wars vs Star Trek Convention Weekend!

Two of science fiction’s biggest franchises are holding official conventions this weekend! Star Wars Celebration V, the official Star Wars convention hosted by ReedPOP, is happening in Florida. Meanwhile, Creation Entertainment is holding their Official East Coast Star Trek Convention in New Jersey. Both have some impressive guest lists and activities planned. We’ve already provided some coverage on them both, which we’ve re-linked below, along with some new information and what you can expect from our reporting team in terms of coverage during and after.

Press Release: Gareb Shamus Announces Dates For 2011 Wizard World Anaheim Comic Con

Following a successful debut at the 2010 Wizard World Anaheim Comic Con, Wizard Entertainment CEO Gareb Shamus today announced that the event will return to the Anaheim Convention Center, April 29 through May 1, 2011. The inaugural Anaheim Comic Con, held April 16-18, featured a rare reunion of “Batman’s” Adam West, Burt Ward, Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether and Yvonne Craig and more than 250 celebrities, comic artists and writers. Comic book legend Stan Lee, TV icon William Shatner and legend Mickey Rooney were among the other headline guests.
