Crisis! T-minus two days to Awesomesaucecon and you have nothing to wear. And your budget’s already stretched thin for gas, tolls, hotel, admission and all the incidentals that add up so fast. What’s a geeky fashionista to do? Full cosplay is expensive and time-consuming, but fabulousness is easily achieved. You can assemble something in an afternoon in three easy steps.

This past Saturday I headed out to Inochicon, a brand new anime convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a friend and fellow con reporter. I had heard about Inochicon courtesy of Geekadelphia, and decided it would be the perfect opportunity to test out my new DSLR camera. After all, anime conventions tend to have a lot of great cosplayers who are more than willing to give a photographer some of their time.

This past weekend I headed out to Inochicon in Philadelphia with my friend Dan from Geekadelphia. He was kind enough to record some great video during the convention, including the entirety of Reni Mimura’s concert. His videos are below. Inochicon is a Philadelphia anime convention happening August 27 – 29, 2010 at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. The convention will feature appearances by Reni Mimura, the LeetStreet Boys, Uncle Yo, Cosplay Comedian Joe, Julia Lichty, and Hannah Minx (who is the Guest emcee). Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
