This Saturday, May 5 2012, is Free Comic Book Day. Seriously.

This past Sunday, August 28, was the 2nd annual international Read Comics in Public Day (RCPD). I created a Facebook event for my hometown of San Diego, inviting sequential art lovers in the general area to come hang out in the shade outside a Starbucks in the Clairemont neighborhood.

YES, it is once again time for the annual Read Comics in Public Day. Grab your comics and graphic novels this Sunday and head somewhere public to show off your love of the sequential arts.

Knoxville Anime and Comic Convention in Tennessee (guess the city yourself) was a pretty fun weekend for me. On Saturday there were over 600 people to come through the doors of this little show. I have to say I meet a bunch of friendly people at this con. Everyone was willing to open up and talk with you.

Scottish comic book artist Frank Quitely will be making a rare US appearance at the Boston Comic Con (BCC) in April of 2011.
