Leonard Nimoy has had to cancel his appearance at the 2011 Dragon*Con.

After pleasing fans for years Leonard Nimoy is finally retiring from the fan convention circuit. Two upcoming Official Star Trek Convention events will mark his last scheduled celebrity convention appearances.

Dragon*Con is one of our favorite conventions here at The Convention Fans Blog. I’ve been attending every year since 2005, and 2011 is shaping up to be yet another great year. Although the convention isn’t happening until Labor Day, there are already more than 60 guests named (with more to come).

ep, it’s official. FX International, an Orlando convention that had Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy as a guest just last year, has been cancelled. FX International had previously announced that they were back on for October 16 – 17, 2010 at the Gaylord Palms back in April of this year. In fact, CreatureCon, another Florida convention, actually moved the dates for their event out of deference to FX.

Look out! Creation Entertainment’s Official STAR TREK Convention in Las Vegas is one month away (August 5-8, 2010) and we’re so excited to be welcoming fans from around the galaxy to be with us.
