Creation to Hold Official Star Trek Convention in Arizona
Yesterday Creation Entertainment, the only company authorized to hold official Star Trek conventions, announced that they would be returning to Phoenix, Arizona in 2011. For those who may not know, the year 2011 marks the 45th anniversary of Star Trek. Creation is celebrating that milestone with additional cities added to their official Star Trek convention tour.

Press Release: Words Alive Brings the “Comic Book Literacy” Documentary Back to San Diego
After a successful screening earlier in the year at the San Diego Comic-Con International, the independent documentary film Comic Book Literacy is returning to Americas Finest City with the help of the local non-profit organization, Words Alive. The film will be screened October 12 at 7:00 at Lestats Coffee Shop on 3343 Adams. Ave.

Press Release: Suicide Girls Join the Wizard World Comic Con Tour!
The SuicideGirls are exceptionally interesting and stylish beautiful women from all over the world. They are the most crush worthy women we could find on the planet, the girls with style and grace and sexiness that we love! The term “suicide girl” is used by Fight Club author and Portland resident Chuck Palahniuk, in his novel Survivor (1999): “It’s the same with these suicide girls calling me up.” Mooney previously confirmed this novel as the source for the name in the Suicide Girls FAQ but has since removed the reference.

Another Anime Con is Happening this October
Summer is over and school is back in session. For most people, that means the end of convention season. But wait, don’t pack away your Buster Sword and Naruto head bands yet! There is still Another Anime Con (yes, that is the name of the convention). If 2010 is anything like 2009 was, then it is sure to be a good time.

Florida Convention FX International Has Been Cancelled
ep, it’s official. FX International, an Orlando convention that had Star Trek’s Leonard Nimoy as a guest just last year, has been cancelled. FX International had previously announced that they were back on for October 16 – 17, 2010 at the Gaylord Palms back in April of this year. In fact, CreatureCon, another Florida convention, actually moved the dates for their event out of deference to FX.
