Star Wars Celebration V Author and Illustrator Signing Information
Star Wars Celebration V, the official Star Wars convention scheduled for this weekend in Orlando, has a slew of Star Wars authors and some illustrators attending. A lot of the attention has been focused on the celebrities from the movies that will be attending. However, fans of the vast body of Star Wars literary work also have a lot to look forward to at Star Wars Celebration V.

TeslaCon is Happening in November, Mark Your Calendars!
TeslaCon is a steampunk convention happening November 5 – 7, 2010 at the Radisson in West Madison, Wisconsin. The event was originally scheduled for November 19 – 21, but it has since been moved up to “prevent possible collisions and turbulent conditions that shifted over the Northern Americas Continent.”

Press Release: Autopsy of the Dead screening at Horror Realm
Horror Realm, Pittsburgh’s modern horror convention, honors the area’s horror roots with a screening of the documentaryAutopsy of the Dead. Autopsy of the Dead is a historical documentary which was produced to preserve the memories of the production of Night of the Living Dead through interviews with cast and crew of George Romero’s horror masterpiece. The documentary was produced by Jim Cirronella and directed by Jeff Carney.

Scott Bakula and Brandon Routh Added to Dragon*con 2010 Guest List
Well Dragon*con, way to blow my socks off near the end of the guest announcements with this latest round of additions! Scott Bakula, who rarely ever does conventions, is coming to Dragon*con 2010! Perhaps this is the mystery person Trek Track director Garrett Wang has been referring to (he mentioned to a fan that he had a guest who had never attended Dragon*con before possibly coming this year).

Gen Con Indy 2010 Happening this Weekend, August 5 – 8
Gen Con Indy is one of two big conventions happening this weekend in the United States (the other is Creation’s Official Star Trek Convention in Vegas). If you’re a gamer, Gen Con Indy is definitely one of the “must attend” conventions each year. Not surprisingly, it attracts at least 90,000 consumer and professional attendees. And did we mention Felicia Day and Wil Wheaton will be there?
