Apparently FX International really is going to happen this October, even though the site went without updates for nearly four months. As a result, CreatureCon, another central Florida convention, has made the decision out of “deference” to FX International to move their convention to January 22 – 23, 2011.

Every year we cry a little bit about not making it out to California for San Diego Comic-Con International (or SDCC for short). Even though we won’t be attending SDCC 2010, we have looked over the schedule and created a list of “must see” events and panels that we would attend if we were there. Can’t Stop The Serenity is a worldwide event that is held in order to raise money for the charity Equality Now and other local charities in the cities which have screenings. I recently got an e-mail from someone behind Can’t Stop The Serenity Des Moines, who asked me if I’d give a shout out to the event here on the blog. Given my love for Serenity/Firefly and good causes, I knew I had to write something about it.
